USE EMILY!!! I cannot say enough good things and I am extremely glad we went with her! Emily has a true passion for what she does and her confidence and energy helped ease my mind DRASTICALLY during both my pregnancy and labor. I am a first-time mom and educating myself on all of the birthing options was extremely important to me. Emily provided a class that touched on so many topics. Her class provided unbiased facts that really helped me make decisions regarding what I did and did not want for my own personal birthing experience. I loved the idea that hiring her as our doula meant that I would always have access to this level of information because pregnancy brain was really a thing for me. I also knew that I wanted someone with experience that could help coach my husband so that he could be more involved with the delivery of our son. Emily checked ALL of the boxes!! Ultimately I opted to birth at a birthing center and my goal was to go completely natural. When I finally went into labor at nearly 42 weeks, Emily met us at our home and helped with providing ideas that helped really keep me "in the zone". Each contraction was like a wave that would come and go and having her there to give my husband breaks really allowed me to have constant support without anyone becoming truly exhausted. When we decided it was time to go ahead and head to the birthing center, Emily was right there with us. She continued to provide reminders (like eating, drinking, and proper breathing) that resulted in such an amazing birthing experience for me. She also captured so many amazing pictures and videos during my labor that I would not have gotten them if it had not been for her. I will cherish those pictures and videos for the rest of my life. She was so prepared for EVERYTHING. I am a FIRM believer that having the right people on your birthing team can make all the difference in your birth experience. I would without a doubt do it all over again and would pick Emily to have on my team each and every time. Hiring Emily to be a part of my birthing team was one of the BEST decisions I could have made and I will forever be grateful for her!!

Having Emily at our birth was the absolute best decision we could have made. The level of professionalism, her depth of knowledge and her standing up for a first time mom was beyond comforting and reassuring. She never made decisions for me, though at times I wanted her to. She always made me feel heard and respected and supported me 1000% of the way. My husband didn’t really understand what a Doula truly is or why they would be needed but he and myself were blown away with Emily and have a new understanding of the importance of a doula. My husband and I left the hospital with not only my beautiful healthy daughter, but a true friend in Emily. It's not everyday that one has the pleasure to meet someone who is undoubtedly dedicated to their calling in life. Handpicked by my husband and I, Emily shined above and beyond what we were looking for in a doula. She is a cherished member of our birth team and was just as dedicated as I was to achieving my VBAC. Not many doulas will stay with you overnight during early labor and then continue the journey of birth with you when plans change; but Emily did and always gave 100%. We will forever regard Emily as a part of our family and an integral piece of our successful VBAC story!

We are so grateful we took the course! It helped us make informed decisions and feel confident with those choices going into birth as first time parents. Information is presented with the research backing it and without bias. The class format is packed with content but presented in a way the keeps your interest the whole time. It's also nice to be in a room with other parents-to-be figuring it out together.

I am so happy I signed up for these birth classes. Since I found out I was pregnant I knew I wanted to take birth classes but just didn't know what to look for and how to find classes that were small and in person. When I saw the flyer for these at my chiropractor it was like a sign jumping out at me. I couldn't have picked a better birth class and am so happy I found it! I also, don't know that I would've been able to find another birth class out there that had a pelvic floor specialist teaching it as well. Would 10/10 recommend to any future mom and dad's out there!

We were very well informed which made us feel more confident and less afraid, especially during COVID-19 times. Our labor and delivery was a scheduled induction; but we were still able to follow the steps learned such as the different methods of monitoring, detailed information about the epidural, along with active labor techniques. In addition, I understood the different stages of labor and knew what to expect in each stage. I also felt very confident asking questions to medical staff and questioning their medical decisions when something wasn’t very clear. I also felt comfortable making requests in order to be more comfortable during contractions.”
